WHAT'S THIS SITE ALL ABOUT

The SA Ski Page started life as a local bookmark for a few avid skiiers in Durban to share resort and snow report URLs without having to use slow response European and American sites.

And, like so many things, it just growed !

These days it has evolved into a full blown ski links site used primarily by South Africans as a fast local link that isn't regionalised by continent. Requests for information on local skiing led to the inclusion of articles on the "Ski Africa's Snow" theme and we are currently adding "Private Guides" to the resort information links which are reports provided by local skiers on the best runs in those resorts. (See the icons.)

We try to provide:

links to local ski clubs and skiing organisations.
links to destination resorts and snow reports most favoured by South Africans.
"private guides" to resort runs, "must-do" things, accommodation tips and local nightlife. These are indicated by the icon.

Who visits the site

About 50% of site hits originate from ouside of South Africa, 15% or so from the UK, some 10% are Australasian, 10% come from the USA and 10% from Northern Europe.

What's the Catch?

The costs incurred in running the site are borne by

, a local Website design and hosting company and

, a South African ski tour company that specialises in customised, guided ski trips to premier adventure destinations.
